In Memoriam to the 166 confirmed dead in the Christchurch earthquakes, and my sincerest hopes that the many, many presumed dead are found and rescued.
There are too many dead for me to list here, but take the time to think and just remember the people of all ages who died, from the old couple who were on the bus, him dying instantly and she later in hospital, according to a friend "of a broken heart", to the two six-month old babies who were crushed by their televison, their mother being hit by the ceiling falling in as she reached out in an attempt to save them.

this sounds heartless but that must be a heavy television. And what was the fan made of? Metal?
ReplyDeleteNot particularly, it wouldn't really have to be that heavy to cause a baby enough damage to the head to kill it.
